Your Resource. Your Voice. Your Association.

Adult and teen volunteers are needed for Friday evening and Saturday. Tasks include registration, set-up and tear down, vendor assistance and more.
And as a thank you, volunteers receive:
Access to the Volunteer Hospitality Room which will provide lunch, snacks and drinks during the Conference on Saturday.
The chance to meet and make friends with homeschoolers from all over the state as you work side by side.
A sense of accomplishment that comes with helping to present a conference of this magnitude.
VaHomeschoolers' gratitude
Teen volunteers receive these additional benefits:
Free admission to the Conference
A party in their honor on Friday afternoon

Email your request to
Shez Silverberg, Volunteer Coordinator.
Call the VaHomeschoolers' toll-free number (866) 513-6173. Please leave your name and phone number and
identify yourself as a potential conference volunteer and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Mark your calendar! Volunteer training will take place just prior to the conference opening, on Friday, July 20th, 3-4 p.m. Don't worry - you will be out in time to get to the Resource Fair and the Beginning Homeschoolers Session!
Teen volunteers (must be 13 or older)
Teens are encouraged to apply individually or as a team, by contacting Shez Silverberg, Volunteer Coordinator to receive a special application form. Service hours can be certified and/or letters of reference can be provided.
Interested in other cultures? VaHomeschoolers need some teens or families to coordinate the preparation of country stations for our Passport to Adventure program.
Volunteers will choose a country or region and create a tabletop display that includes a game and/or craft from the country. The activity will be set up all day on Saturday but will be staffed by various volunteers (you won't be stuck there all day or even at all if you don't want to be.) Participants will visit your "country" to play the game or make the craft. Upon completion, the tour guide for your country, will stamp their passport with a flag sticker from your country. Craft supplies will be acquired by VaHomeschoolers or reimbursed upon prior approval.
For more information and to sign up to participate, contact Bronwyn McIntosh.
