2007 VaHomeschoolers Resource Fair

VaHomeschoolers recognizes that our conference attendees come from across the spectrum of educational philosophies and approaches, and we have solicited vendors with this in mind. You will find products for sale from a wide variety of vendors offering a multitude of educational materials and unusual items not found in teacher supply stores, as well as information about other resources available as tools in your homeschooling. We will also have a Used Resource Fair.

With plenty of time between sessions and during the lunch break, and a long preview sale, there will be ample opportunity for browsing and shopping. So bring your wish list and your checkbook. You are bound to find some exciting new products!

Resource Fair Hours

The Resource Fair is open on Friday, July 20th, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, July 21st, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The Resource Fair is free of charge during the entire conference, but all attendees must register and receive a name tag.

• Door Prizes - Registrants who participate in our Exhibitor Passport program will be eligible for great door prizes. To qualify, take the passport you receive at registration, visit the exhibitors, have them stamp our passport and then turn the completed passport in to be entered in the drawing.
• Exhibiting - Have a service or product you want to share with other homeschoolers? See the 2007 Vendor Registration page or email the Conference Vendor Chair for information on exhibiting and advertising.
• Used Resource Sale - Here's a great opportunity to help VaHomeschoolers, and declutter your house! This year's conference will again feature the popular Used Resource Fair. The sale is for donations only, there will be no consignments. The funds raised will go directly to VaHomeschoolers, to help to support your favorite inclusive, statewide homeschooling organization.
  
  Donations are being sought for kids' curriculum, books, videos, games, manipulatives, CDs, or other items you have found useful to homeschooling, but are now ready to part with. If you have items to donate, but may not be able to make it to the conference, we will find a local volunteer to bring your donations.
  
  We also need volunteers to take the collections of donated items and store them for the conference. If you wish to donate or be a temporary houser of donations, please contact Traci Haden to volunteer.

Free Beginning Homeschool Session

As part of VaHomeschoolers' ongoing tradition of educational outreach, we will also be offering a free Beginning Homeschool session in conjunction with the Resource Fair on Friday, July 20th from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.. The Beginning Homeschool session will provide potential and new homeschoolers a place to have their questions answered and will cover topics including Virginia homeschool law, how to get started, finding support and locating resources.
